New international exhibition city in Hama- Syria

The head of the Hama Chamber of Commerce  Ayman Malandi announced the approval of the Ministry of Local Administration to establish an international exhibition city in the western countryside of Hama city in partnership with the city council of Hama and Hama province.

Malandi added that the initial steps for the construction of the exhibition city have started, and its location in the Al- Habit  area with  ​​28,000 square meters.

He pointed out that the new exhibition city will be equipped to host several international and local exhibitions, including the “Spring Festival”, the second largest shopping festival in Syria after the “Damascus International Fair.”

He talked about the advantages of the exhibition city, that it will serve the activities of the province of Hama significantly, and support the trade movement in it further, adding that “Hama is characterized by a strong trade movement for livestock, food and agricultural production.”

He pointed out that the province of Hama is the first in Syria in terms of production of pistachio season, and the manufacture of shoes, dairy and cheese, and the second province in terms of exports.

Damascus International Fairgrounds is the only exhibition city in Syria and was established in 1954 on the Damascus International Airport road. It covers an area of ​​1,200,000 square meters and can accommodate 1,500,000 visitors.
