The branch of the Internal Trade Corporation for Metals and Building Materials (Omran) in Latakia, in coordination with the branches of the Railways Corporation in Tartous and Latakia, and the Tartous Cement Factory, resumed the transfer of cement from the factory land to Latakia Governorate via railways, after it had stopped for more than ten years.

The director of the Omran Corporation branch in Latakia, Iyad Jadid, said that the train is loaded with about 300 tons of the material as a first and experimental step in preparation for its future adoption mainly, which saves many expenses related to transportation costs , the supply of the material to the areas of consumption , distribution steadily, pointing out that work will be done within a fixed plan In order to generalize the issue of cement transportation by rail to the governorate from the remaining factories in Hama and Adra.
