A Syrian-Iraqi agreement for cooperation in the construction of railways

The “Syrian Railways Corporation” has signed a joint cooperation agreement with the “General Company for Iraqi Railways”, which includes cooperation in the field of mobile and mobile tools, the construction of railways, the exchange of research and studies, and the training of railway cadres.

The agreement also provides for scientific visits and conferences, the transfer of railway technology and international standards in the two countries’ railways, and ways to develop production, reduce costs and increase investment in rail transport, to improve it economically and in development and increase commercial activity between the two countries.
