After its restoration and rehabilitation, the smell of soap returned to the old city of Aleppo to fragrant again in Khan Al-Sabun, which was brought back to life again, to be distinguished today by the manufacture of the largest bar of soap in the world weighing 1520 kilograms.

The director of marketing and production for Khan Al-Sabun, Sharaf al-Din Dahan, stated that the khan was destroyed and ruined as a result of terrorism, and work was done to restore and rehabilitate it to preserve the ancestral profession, which is the soap industry, as a wing was allocated within the khan to display what the Kar sheikhs produce for this industry.
