Syria’s industrialists called for the lifting of economic sanctions imposed on their country to face the threat of the Corona epidemic.

The head of the Chamber of Industry in Damascus and its countryside, Dr. Samer Al-Debs, explained that “this call comes amid increasing demands by the international community to lift the unfair sanctions imposed on Syria, in order to secure the requirements of facing the threat of corona and prevent its spread, and to secure the requirements and needs of the Syrian people from agricultural and industrial products.”

Al-Debs said: “We have in Syria / 131 / thousand industrial establishments, and government directives stipulate the necessity of continuing all these installations so that the economic wheel in the country does not stop. The head of the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside added:” All factories continue to operate”.
