The Local Production and Exports Support and Development Authority announced the approval of the mechanism of supporting export contracts signed on the sidelines of the 61st session of the Damascus International Fair by 100 percent for land and sea freight.

Director of the Local Production and Export Support and Development Authority Ibrahim Medah said in a statement that the mechanism of export subsidies includes providing 100 percent support for the cost of shipping goods exported by land or sea according to contracts signed on the sidelines of the exhibition “ie free shipping” in parallel with raising the value of subsidies.

He pointed out that the aim of the subsidy mechanism is to increase the access of Syrian products to foreign markets on the one hand, and increase their competitiveness on the other hand, since free shipping would reduce the cost to the source supplier and thus give the goods the ability to compete with those in the target markets, especially that Syrian products Known for its good quality and acceptable price.
